Who is eligible to enroll in the OEC 2026 Refresher?

The OEC Refresher is open to currently registered NSP patroller who hold an active OEC certification. You must have your NSP member number ready to complete enrollment. PRE-REGISTRATION is required.

Question 2

What do I need to bring to class?

Bring your NSP membership card, a valid photo ID, your EMS certification card (if applicable), and any required course materials specified by your instructor. Dress appropriately for outdoor conditions at the mountain. This is an adult event, please make prior arrangements for children and pets.

Question 3

What is the class capacity and waitlist policy?

Each class is capped at 120 students. If a class is full, you will be automatically placed on the waitlist. Waitlisted students will be contacted by email if a seat opens up.

Question 4

Can I change my class selection after enrolling?

To change your class, please email us with your NSP number and the class you'd like to switch to. Changes are subject to availability and must be requested at least 7 days before your original class date.

What time should I arrive?

The registration desk opens at 7:45 AM. At Registration pick up your skill card, find your partners and place their names under your name on the skill card prior to 8:30. Class begins promptly at 8:30 AM. Late arrivals may not be admitted, so please plan to arrive early.

Is there a fee to attend?

Accepted Answer

There is no additional fee for currently registered NSP members in good standing. Your NSP annual dues cover participation in the OEC Refresher program.

Question 7

What happens if I cannot make it to class or break down enroute ?

In the event of a cancellation, email me 24 hours in advance.  Should you break down enroute, call/text me ASAP so I can hold a spot for you or make other arrangements for you.

Question 8

I forgot my NSP number — where can I find it?

Accepted Answer

Your NSP number appears on your NSP membership card and in your online NSP member portal at nsp.org. Contact NSP national member services if you need further assistance.
